Govt considered walking away from America's Cup
It's been revealed the government was advised it could walk away from it's deal to fund the America's Cup village when final negotiations started to run into trouble. Papers given to RNZ also reveal that David Parker suggested an Auckland Council agency had ulterior motives, in making a proposal that he favoured appear too expensive. RNZ Auckland correspondent Todd Niall has been looking through the material.
