Middlemore buildings a priority - new Counties-Manukau chair

From Morning Report, 8:27 am on 30 April 2018

The government has announced new chairs for Auckland's district health boards' including the embattled Counties Manukau. The DHB has been in the spotlight since RNZ News revealed a plethora of problems with Middlemore Hospital's buildings, including being blighted by rot and mould, earthquake weaknesses, asbestos and sewerage leaking into walls. A Crown Monitor has also been appointed to the board. Former Labour Transport Minister Mark Gosche will take over as chair. He tells Guyon Espiner he's looking forward to the government's budget announcement, so he can better resource the people who've been holding the health sector together.
