Commonwealth trade deal has potential - Ardern
The Prime Minister says there is real potential in a Commonwealth-wide free trade deal, particularly for smaller nations which have a lot to lose from protectionism. Jacinda Ardern is on her way back from London where she attended the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting. She says leaders at the summit discussed the prospect of putting together the bones of a free trade agreement between the 53 member nations, before the United Kingdom left the European Union. Ms Ardern told our political reporter, Craig McCulloch, that any such agreement would take some time.
