Vanuatu's Ambae evacuated as volcano's ash spreads

The mass evacuation of thousands of people from a Vanuatu island begins on Thursday. Ambae has been in a State of Emergency since Tuesday, when the volcano at the centre of the island began erupting againg, coating much of the surrounding land in ash. A local priest has described the situation as desperate as food supplies dwindle and disease begins to spread. RNZI correspondent Koro Vaka'uta joins us with the details.
