'He never gave up' - Graeme Crosby describes Ivan Mauger

From Morning Report, 8:38 am on 17 April 2018

New Zealand speedway legend Ivan Mauger died on Monday aged 78 after several years of battling dementia. He won six world titles between 1968 and 1979 and with Ronnie Moore and Barry Briggs put New Zealand on top of international speedway in its glory era. He was named New Zealand sportsman of the year in 1977 and 1979. Mauger's career began as a schoolboy in Christchurch and the young man in a hurry wasn't going to wait until he reached the legal age to compete. TT Formula One motorcycle champion Graeme Crosby knew Ivan Mauger. He tells us Mauger was a man who never gave up.
