Commonwealth Games: Men's mountain bikers target top Kiwis

From Morning Report, 6:28 am on 12 April 2018

The New Zealand men's mountain bikers are targeting a clean sweep of the podium at the Commonwealth Games. Anton Cooper and Sam Gaze went from relative obscurity to mountain bike super stars after claiming a New Zealand one-two at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games. Now they're seasoned professionals and winners on the World Cup circuit and they're expected to repeat their Glasgow performance at the Gold Coast Games, with young rider Ben Oliver looking to join them on the dais. Twenty-two-year-old Gaze was a silver medallist in Scotland and won the most recent World Cup event in South Africa. He told RNZ's Joe Porter that he'll consider anything less than gold a failure.
