Returning to an issue that RNZ has been reporting on for the last few weeks - buildings at Middlemore Hospital that are full of rot and potentially dangerous mould. There's also asbestos present and raw sewage leaking into the walls. The former Minister of Heatlh, Jonathon Coleman, denies knowing about the problems. He told TVNZ on Monday he couldn't be expected to know about things if officials had never mentioned them. "Dr Coleman actually came & opened a new clinic in [the McIndoe] building & I remember telling him about the history of that building... Certainly that it had been refurbished," Former chair of Counties-Manukau DHB Lee Mathias tells Guyon Espiner.
