The Minister for Crown and Māori relations Kelvin Davis has been canvassing the views of Ngāpuhi over the weekend on how to do his job. The government has created the new portfolio in the hope of improving its relationship with Māori, once Treaty claims are settled. The Minister is asking Māori around the country what needs to happen to make that work. Lois Williams went to the Whangarei hui on Sunday.
