Auckland drivers face a double tax hike under sweeping changes to transport funding proposed by the Government. It's looking at raising fuel taxes by between nine to 12 cents a litre to help fund safer roads, improve cycle ways and boost investment in rail. The tax increase and the new regional tax together will increase fuel prices, once GST is added, by close to 25 cents a litre. Sally Murphy has more.
