Broadcasting Minister's meeting with Hirschfeld - analysis

From Morning Report, 7:14 am on 28 March 2018

Broadcasting Minister Clare Curran has remained in her role in the wake of the resignation of senior RNZ news executive Carol Hirschfeld. Ms Hirschfeld stepped down on Tuesday after misleading RNZ's chief executive over a meeting she had with Clare Curran late last year. RNZ chief executive Paul Thompson spoke yesterday, and RNZ's board chair Richard Griffin said he wouldn't be commenting until he had corrected the information given to the Select Committee. Broadcasting Minister Clare Curran also declined to be interviewed. RNZ political editor Jane Patterson has been following this story and joins Susie Ferguson with her analysis.
