Pukenui washout: Police ready for forestry road convoy

The Transport Agency is hoping to have a single lane open on State Highway 1 by the middle of this week after the big washout north of Kaitaia. The police will again be escorting traffic through the forestry road on Tuesday to bypass the washout. Police Inspector Chris McLellan will be overseeing the convoy.
