Memorial held for France shooting

From Morning Report, 7:55 am on 26 March 2018

A memorial service has been held for four victims of a terrorist attack at a supermarket in Southern France. On Friday morning in Carcassonne 25-year-old Morroccan-born man Radouane Lakdim killed four people in a shooting spree - including a French policeman who had exchanged himself for a hostage. The shooter had links to Islamic State and was shot dead by police following his attack. Gendarme Arnaud Beltrame, who voluntarily took the place of a hostage, has been called a hero by French President Emmanuel Macron. Correspondent in Carcassonne, Peter Allen, joins us with the details.
