The government's plan to build up to 4000 houses on roughly 30 hectares of former Unitec campus land in the central Auckland suburb of Mt Albert is raising some eyebrows. The Opposition says that sounds like a tight squeeze - fitting more than 100 dwellings into an area the size of a rugby field. And they have questions too about the infrastructure.
