Unfair dinkum: Australian cricket's blackest day

Australia's pride and joy - its world beating cricket team - are now an international embarrassment after being caught cheating in the third test against South Africa in Capetown. Young bowler Cameron Bancroft was captured by television cameras in a clumsy ball tampering incident which captain Steve Smith admitted was planned by the team's senior players. Both Smith and his vice captain David Warner stepped down from their roles for the rest of the test in the aftermath of a disastrous press conference where Smith made the admission and offered a perfunctory apology.
