Templeton tries 'Texit' split from Christchurch in quarry spat

Residents in the Canterbury township of Templeton say they are fed up with the lack of support from the Christchurch City Council in their fight against a proposed Fulton Hogan quarry. Some are now questioning whether the township could split from Christchurch and become part of neighbouring Selwyn district.
