NZer Chris Liddell Trump's new deputy chief of staff

New Zealand businessman Chris Liddell has been appointed as Donald Trump's deputy chief of staff.

Matamata-born Mr Liddell was appointed by Mr Trump's White House chief of staff John Kelly and will be in charge of policy.

The former Carter Holt Harvey, Microsoft, and General Motors executive has been working in the Trump White House since January last year.

The Wall Street Journal's White House reporter Michael Bender joins us with the details.
