Bridges demands clarity on Ardern's oil & gas plans

From Morning Report, 6:39 am on 20 March 2018

The National Party leader, Simon Bridges, says Jacinda Ardern should be honest about exactly what her plans are for oil and gas exploration. On Monday, in a surprise move, the Prime Minister personally accepted a Greenpeace petition demanding an end to exploration. Standing in front of a protest sign asking if 2018 was the year it would end, Ardern told protestors she was "actively considering" the issue. Simon Bridges, who is the former Energy Minister, says it was all just a publicity stunt and the government is talking tough, but actually doing very little.
