A rock star of Norwegian literature Karl Ove Knausgaard and New York Times number one bestselling author Karen Joy Fowler will be among the big names taking part in May's Auckland Writers Festival. The line up for six days of ideas, readings, debates, stand-up poetry, literary theatre, children's writers has just been announced. There will be 140 public events, with 230 participants - some of the world's best writers and thinkers. Anne O'Brien is the festival's director. She talks to Susie Ferguson.
