New Chatham Islands wharf ends dangerous dock days

Chatham Islanders are hoping their new wharf will make life on the island much smoother sailing. The wharf cost $52 million and its designers are confident it will dramatically reduce the number of days a year it's too dangerous for ships to dock there. RNZ political reporter Benedict Collins went to the Chathams yesterday for the wharf's official opening and filed this report.
