Northpower works to restore Tonga electricity
Many communities in Tonga are still without power - a month after Cyclone Gita caused serious damage to the electricity network. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern was in Tonga yesterday and announced a $10 million assistance package for the country. The money will be spent on restorating the electricity network and helping children continue their schooling. Steve Macmillan is the manager of public affairs at Northpower, which has a team of workers in Tonga helping repair the damage.
