On Wednesday former Finance Minister Steven Joyce announced his retirement, which means Nicola Willis is set to head to Parliament in a couple of weeks.
Ms Willis, who turns 37, stood unsuccessfully for the Wellington Central seat last September. It looked like she would just squeak in as a list MP when the votes were counted on election night, but she missed the cut once the special votes were tallied up.
But the time has finally come for businesswoman, former senior advisor to John Key and mother of four. Nicola Willis joins Susie Ferguson in the Wellington studio.
