NZ Census: 1.7 million respond by start of day

It's census day and despite complaints about the new online format, Statistics New Zealand says the response so far has been promising, with at least 1.7 million people having completed the census by the beginning of March 6. 2018 Census general manager Denise McGregor discusses the details with Susie Ferguson.
