Kelvin Davis 'looking at options' on mega prison

From Morning Report, 7:50 am on 28 February 2018

Yesterday, Maori legal scholar Moana Jackson told Morning Report that rather than building a new 3000 bed prison at Waikeria, the Government should investigate alternative ways of incarceration for Maori and other offenders. The government will soon decide whether to push ahead with the new prison which would help alleviate pressure on our prison system where growth in inmate numbers has taken policy makers by surprise. Kelvin Davis as the Corrections Minister is ultimately responsible for this decision. He talks to Susie Ferguson.
