National Party leadership hopefuls face tight race

From Morning Report, 8:13 am on 27 February 2018

National Party MPs hold their weekly caucus meeting this morning, but as we know, this one will be rather special. They will be farewelling their leader Bill English and voting in a new one. Simon Bridges and Amy Adams have emerged as the leading contenders but wily veterans like Steven Joyce and Judith Collins can't be written off. Even the outsider Mark Mitchell has a good chance of emerging with at least the deputy leader role. Guyon Espiner discusses with the party's former leader Don Brash and its former president Michelle Boag.
