Doctors push to reduce wait time for mental health patients

Doctors are demanding help for mental health patients who face long waits in overcrowded hospital emergency departments. The Australasian College of Emergency Medicine says these patients tend to wait the longest in the emergency rooms. RNZ health correspondent Karen Brown tells Susie Ferguson the doctors are arguing urgent change is needed to provide better care for a vulnerable but difficult group.
