Truck drivers warned as towbar cracks revealed

Structural cracks that could cause crashes have been found in the towbars and connections of some of the biggest truck trailers on the road. This has triggered New Zealand Transport Agency safety alerts covering almost 3000 rigs because the cracks could be catastrophic for the trailers and lethal for other motorists.
