Govt open to reviewing Maori ward law
The government is refusing to condemn as racist the law that allows Maori wards to be contested with referendums. The lobby group Hobson's Pledge has now gathered enough support to force votes in five districts. Local Government Minister Nanaia Mahuta says she's open to reviewing the law but the Greens say it has to go. Political reporter Benedict Collins has more.
