Ardern, Peters overpayments unacceptable - Seymour

From Morning Report, 8:27 am on 21 February 2018

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and the Foreign Minister Winston Peters have been overpaid just over $12,000 and $9000 respectively by the Department of Internal Affairs. The payments were 'out-of-town' allowances MPs receive for accommodation in Wellington, but as ministers, Jacinda Ardern and Winston Peters are not entitled to it. The money was overpaid during the period between late October to early February. Both have reimbursed the money and have received apologies from the ministry. ACT MP and member for Epsom David Seymour says it's unacceptable.
