Dipton locals in shock at English resignation

The reaction to Bill English's resignation in his home town of Dipton in Southland has ranged from shock to acceptance that it was time for him to move on. The departing National Party leader represented the people in the area for 24 years before moving on to the party's list in 2014. But as RNZ's Conan Young discovered, people in Dipton still think of him as one of their own and are sad to see him go.
