Makeup tutorials scrapped from Wellington school

A Wellington school has abandoned plans to teach girls how to put on makeup after outrage from parents. Glitz and Glamour for Girls was one of the electives offered to 11 and 12-year-olds at Evans Bay Intermediate School. Critics have described the course as harking back to the 1950s.
