Body found at Christchurch's Sumner Beach

A body has been found washed up on Sumner Beach in Christchurch. The police say a person jogging along the beach reported the discovery just after 4:30am on Monday. A police team is at the scene but the identity of the body cannot be confirmed until a post-mortem has been done. Fourteen-year-old Jack Sutton went missing in the water near Sumner a week ago, and despite an intensive search, no trace was found of him. RNZ reporter Maja Burry is there.
