West Auckland parents stung by free school bus cancellation

From Morning Report, 7:54 am on 8 February 2018

Parents in West Auckland are having to stump up for bus fares after free buses for students in Titirangi and Parau were scrapped. The Ministry of Education announced the change last year - and even though the fare is 99 cents each way, it's still a big cost to parents on the benefit. But not only that, they're worried about their childrens' safety. The bus route is on a road with no footpath where the speed limit is 70km/h.
