200 Chinese workers flown in to build Auckland hotel

Two hundred Chinese workers including painters, stone layers, and tilers are being flown in to work on a high-end Auckland hotel. The more than $200 million Park Hyatt hotel in the city's Wynyard Quarter is set to be finished by March next year. Beijing-based property developers Fu Wah say a shortage of skilled workers in the construction sectors means the project would be delayed for months if they didn't provide its own workers. The managing director of recruitment firm Building Recruitment, Kevin Everett, spoke to RNZ reporter Tom Furley about the skill shortages.
