Grant Robertson discusses market dive, Waitangi, Māori

From Morning Report, 7:15 am on 7 February 2018

The New Zealand stock market is about to open on Wednesday morning after being closed on Waitangi Day. It comes as global markets fluctuate wildly, with the European market hitting a six-month low and the Down Jones suffering its biggest one-day fall.

Finance Minister Grant Robertson joins Guyon Espiner to discuss the implications for New Zealand. He also discusses the government's impact at Waitangi, and any plans for targeted funding to reduce disparities for Māori. The government is focused on "reducing inequality overall" rather than a 'closing the gaps'-style policy.
