Six children of NZ Catholic priests revealed

From Morning Report, 6:25 am on 5 February 2018

Six cases have come to light of children fathered by supposedly celibate Catholic priests in New Zealand. One of them is a six-year-old girl. Her mother, and the adult children from the other cases, have joined an online support network that is lifting the veil of secrecy around a worldwide scandal for the Catholic Church. Vincent Doyle of Galway, Ireland, founded the network Coping International. He told RNZ reporter Phil Pennington that New Zealand bishops should quickly adopt guidelines issued last year by Irish bishops that put the child's welfare first - but the Church here says it has yet to look at the issue.
