The contest for the Green Party's co-leadership gets underway in earnest today with nominations opening for the job left vacant when Metiria Turei resigned amid a benefit fraud contoversy. Marama Davidson and Julie-Anne Genter are expected to confirm their candidacy while the party's youngest MP, the high profile Chloe Swarbrick has already ruled herself out of contention.
