Sir Anand Satyanand heads state care abuse inquiry

From Morning Report, 7:37 am on 2 February 2018

The government has launched a Royal Commission to investigate abuse in state institutions but there is still scope for the inquiry to be widened. It will be chaired by the former Governor General Sir Anand Satyanand, and will look into abuse between 1950 and 1999. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern expects the government will make a state-wide apology for historical state care abuse once the inquiry is complete. Sir Anand joins Susie Ferguson to discuss the inquiry scope.
