Govt should pay for NZ water chlorination - expert

A water engineer says the treatment of drinking water isn't a local issue anymore and should be addressed - and paid for - at a national level. His call comes as Christchurch city council votes on whether to chlorinate its water supply temporarily - and Timaru is considering a permanent move for some supplies - if it can get the money.
