The Police will be reimbursing a legal hemp grower after destroying an estimated $16,000-worth of plants. Just one day after the government took the first step to open up the gates for the medical cannabis industry, police officers ripped out an entire crop of legal hemp in Ruatoria. The owner of the crop is Willie Kaa who was growing the hemp for Hikurangi Hemp. Hikurangi Hemp's director is Manu Caddie.
