'Do job properly' Te Anau urges on wastewater

From Morning Report, 8:16 am on 19 December 2017

Opponents of a plan to spray partially-treated sewage water from Te Anau around Manapouri airport are calling for the council to spend the money needed to do the job properly. The Southland district council has resource consent to pump the water 18 kilometres and spread it using pivot irrigators on the north side of the airport, but the project has been criticised as having serious health and environmental risks. The council says time is running out to decide.
