Air NZ stalled by faulty replacement plane

From Morning Report, 7:45 am on 18 December 2017

A plane brought in to cover a faulty Air New Zealand aircraft has caused problems of its own with homebound passengers delayed up to 18 hours in Sydney. The plane is one of two chartered from the European company Hi Fly while Air New Zealand's Dreamliners undergo urgent maintenance on their Rolls Royce engines. The replacement aircraft started service on Friday but on Saturday its flight from Sydney to Auckland had to be cancelled because of what Air New Zealand describes as an engineering issue.
