Zuma steps down - what now for South Africa?

South Africa's governing party, the African National Congress, is voting on a new leader. The party has been in power since the country transitioned to democracy in 1994 under Nelson Mandela. The winner of the closely-fought race will succeed the current president, Jacob Zuma, whose time in office has been shrouded in scandals, which have weakened the ANC's grip on power.
