Prison violence levels 'alarming' - Ombudsman

Chief Ombudsman Peter Boshier says unannounced prison visits have revealed alarming levels of violence. He has just published a scathing report into one of the country's biggest prisons - Christchurch Men's Prison. During an unannounced inspection, 67 percent of prisoners who filled out a survey said they felt unsafe, and 49 percent said they had been assaulted. Peter Boshier joins Kim Hill to discuss the issue.
