Law that protected CTV engineers a 'travesty'

From Morning Report, 6:15 am on 6 December 2017

Law professor Chris Gallavin is calling for the urgent dumping of a law that's helped shield engineers from prosecution in the CTV building collapse. Section 162 of the Crimes Act means no one can be held criminally responsible for a death that occurs more than a year and day after a crime that contributed to the person dying. A Crown Law review of the CTV investigation calls it an "anachronism" but struggled to find any way around the rule.
