Mugabe sacked, expected to stand down as Zimbabwe leader

From Morning Report, 6:41 am on 20 November 2017

After ruling over Zimbabwe for almost four decades, Robert Mugabe has been sacked as the leader of his own party. The 93-year-old has been given until 11pm (NZ time) to stand down as president or face impeachment. At the same time, Zanu PF membership has expelled Mr Mugabe's wife Grace from the party completely. Mr Mugabe has been under house arrest since last Wednesday when the military took over to block him from installing Grace as his successor.
