TPP talks 'down to wire' - Ardern

From Morning Report, 6:43 am on 10 November 2017

Jacinda Adern says the Trans Pacific Partnership talks are going down to the wire. The trade ministers of the 11 countries involved, including New Zealand's David Parker, have been meeting on the sidelines of APEC at Da Nang in Vietnam. New Zealand wants to drop the provisions around foreign corporations suing governments using overseas tribunals, but Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern admits it's been tough going convincing them. Ms Ardern refuses to say which way the talks will go, but did express doubt a TPP deal can be done if if there's no agreement today.
