PNG Supreme Court to hear Manus refugees' lawyers

From Morning Report, 7:22 am on 6 November 2017

The plight of desperate Manus Island detainees heads back to Papua New Guinea's Supreme Court this morning. It will hear an application from refugee lawyers today that could result in the court ordering services to be restored at the detention centre. Refugees on the island say they have no faith in the United States to resettle any more of Australia's offshore detainees. The Kurdish journalist and detainee Behrouz Bouchani says the refugees doubt any more of them will follow the 25 Manus men already accepted. RNZ Pacific reporter Ben Robinson-Drawbridge tells us the latest details.
