Auckland Council allows unsafe CBD building

Auckland Council has allowed one of the city's busiest buildings to remain open without a warrant of fitness for 436 days. The six-storey Sky World building on Queen St hasn't had a warrant since 2015, and it was refused a warrant in August last year because of extensive fire safety problems. Auckland Council's general manager of building consenting Ian McCormick joins us to explain.
