Detainees defy deadline to quit Manus Island

Detainees on Manus Island are defying a deadline to leave the immigration detention centre. Staff disappeared yesterday from the detention centre before locals reportedly entered and started looting the centre. Water and power have been cut at the detention centre and the refugees are fearful Papua New Guinea soldiers and police could storm the complex.
