A steel framing company says it is seeing shop canopies so unsafe they could fall on people and kill them. Tony Black who runs Auckland engineers Black Steel Mobile says they just fixed a one-tonne canopy held on by just one half of one nut.
He says they are also coming across building owners who only want to do a 'half-baked' repair.
